This splendid sailboat, with its remarkable design, is today the natural link between the First 36 and 53. It cultivates performance, elegance and comfort at the same time, notably thanks to the quality of its equipment, which offers unequalled sailing pleasure. With the First 44, BENETEAU has achieved the most noble expression of racing-cruising: a yacht whose marine qualities provide happiness under sail without ever giving up comfort and elegance. The generous sail plan allows the First 44 to be lively and efficient in all conditions.

The First 44 offers 2 programs, FIRST 44 and FIRST 44 PERFORMANCE, with a different deck plan, and 2 choices of keels and masts.

In the FIRST 44 version, the cockpit is very user-friendly with a nice outside table and a smooth access to the large clear gangways. 4 winches and a fixed mainsheet point, as well as the mast set back, allow to take advantage of the modern sail plan composed of a slender mainsail and generous headsails.
Two 300-liter ballasts, electrically activated from the helm consoles, allow the boat to retain its full potential even with a reduced crew.

In the FIRST 44 Performance version, the ergonomics of the deck layout has been designed for crewed racing. The equipment is clearly racing style, with notably the anti-slip foam that replaces the teak in the cockpit, the 6 winches and the mainsheet track. In terms of rigging and fittings, a 1.50 m carbon outrigger, a hydraulic backstay, a powerful retracting system, as well as a mast and a performance keel are on the program for this version that will satisfy the most demanding crews.

The First 44 has a bright, modern and sleek layout, combining white lacquer, molded wood and fine upholstery.

Composed of three cabins and two bathrooms, the interior features quality finishes and materials to create a refined atmosphere.

In the saloon, the transverse table seats up to six people and faces the sofa and navigation station; its position relative to the mast facilitates circulation between the galley and the owner’s cabin, enhancing the feeling of space.
